Doughnut Post

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons vinegar
7/8 cup milk
2/3 cups fine white sugar
1 medium sized egg
2 tablespoons cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sifted self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups oil for deep frying

DIRECTIONS
Stir the vinegar into the milk, and let it curdle, and becomes lumpy.
In a medium bowl, mix thoroughly together the cream and sugar until smooth. Beat the egg and vanilla until well blended in s seperate bowl and then pour into the cream-sugar mix. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture alternating with the vinegar and milk. Roll dough out on a floured surface to 1/3 inch thickness. Use a doughnut cutter or if not use a clean empty tin can to cut regular round shapes and use a mineral water bottle to cut out the centre. Let stand for about 10 minutes. Once rested, take the dough and fry in hot oil (one at a time - unless you have a big wok with lots of oil). Drain it on kitchen towels to remove excess oil. Then put dressing on doughnut as per what you like - chocolate, icing sugar, nutella, penutbutter and peanuts.
